Abstract:

We'll talk about how we achieved lower costs, better density, and guaranteed performance while migrating from legacy large-scale GPU passthrough VDI architecture to the latest NVIDIA vGPU solution. We'll also discuss our work delivering remote workstations to subcontractors through our VDI solution for 6,000 concurrent users since 2014.

Abstract:

4K, stereoscopy, 53 million pixels, 400 TFlops, 56 Gbits high-speed network, 10 tons of steel, 5 tons of glass, 2 miles of optical fiber, 3 miles of network cables and 70 NVIDIA® Quadro® M6000 pro GPUs. This presentation will recap how PSA Peugeot Citroën managed to bring it all together in a CAVE 2.0 implementation. The session will cover all aspects from end-user requirements to the final setup in order to meet all stakeholder needs: vehicle architecture, process, HMI, car interior and exterior styling, and perceived quality.

Abstract:

After a year of 500 users working with NVIDIA GRID in a virtualized CAD environment at PSA Peugeot Citroen, we will present the who, what, where, why, and how the PSA IT department enables CAD workstations end users to work almost anywhere. Learn how virtualization helps us to handle our business challenges and the benefits and improvements virtualization brought to our business.

Abstract:

PSA Peugeot Citroen in partnership with Reims University, RTT and Barco will show a car model in Real Time Full GI using the Romeo supercomputer based in Reims, France equipped with 260 Tesla K20s. The car model will be loaded into RTT DeltaGen which will be connected to Reims through a remote display to leverage the horse power of the GPU Cluster. Tapping into this power on demand allows Peugeot to achieve stunning photorealistic results in real time, as if the real vehicle was right in front of them. With this, design changes for materials and colors can be visualized instantly and decisions can be made faster.

Abstract:

PSA discusses the benefits and challenges that they faced in building a virtualized platform for their CAD designers involved in the Automotive Design process. Over 500 users, including employees, partners, sub-contractors over numerous international locations had to be connected together and supported through a single remote solution. Audience members will learn about the various steps that were employed to build out their solution, specific hardware and software that was utilized, and key metrics that they monitored to evaluate their ROI.
