Abstract:
GPUs provide power-efficient hardware acceleration for graphics processing and deep learning algorithms, making them the ideal compute processors for highly automated driving functionalities. Despite the predominance of GPUs in the development of prototypes, the actual market penetration of GPUs in series-production electronic control units (ECUs) remains comparably low. In this talk we will focus on a key contributor to this problem: deficient support for integration into the design processes of the automotive supply chain and automotive software standards.
