Abstract:
Clinical staff need the ability to access cardiology imagery at anytime of day, and sometimes in very low bandwidth situations. Cerner identified this need and took efforts to build a solution to deliver high-performance graphics computing centered in the data center rather than having a physical machine present. The Cerner SkyVue Cardiology application traditionally requires higher performance workstations with substantial graphics cards. By centrally locating these within data centers, clinical staff can access the application from any workstation or mobile device with VMware Horizon View and NVIDIA GRID as the enabling technology.
